One man is in custody while another is still on the run after the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were called in to assist in a manhunt last Thursday, February 4.
According to a statement released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), The U.S. Marshall’s Office and the Arkansas State Police were in pursuit of a fugitive, William Wiley. Wiley was wanted on both state and federal warrants. MCSO was called to assist as the manhunt moved into the southern part of Montgomery County.
It was reported that Wiley and a companion, Nathan Holmes, were on foot in the area around Kennedy Road and Highway 70. The search continued into Friday, February 5. Around 12 p.m. Friday Sheriff White was working with Pike County Sheriff Travis Hill when he spotted Wiley near the rest area east of Glenwood. Sheriff Hill made contact with the suspect and he was taken into custody after Sheriff White identified him as Wiley.
Wiley’s companion, Holmes, is still considered a fugitive. If anyone has any information regarding his whereabouts please call 911.
A second arrest was made in relation to the manhunt. Haven Mosely was taken into custody by MCSO as part of their investigation. She is to be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and hindering apprehension.
