Linda Jester has announced her intention to seek re-election as Montgomery County Justice of the Peace District 7. Her announcement is printed below.
Isaiah 26:3 “Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.”
Your Justice of the Peace, Linda Jester, is running for re-election. I was born and raised in District 7, in Caney Township. I moved into the home of my Grandparents, J.D. and Carrie Elmira (Buck) Bright on Highway 70 East. I have two adult children, Kerry and his wife Kelly Forga and a Daughter, Carolyn Forga, both of Caney Township. I’m blessed with five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
I attended the old Grandview Grade School, where my Mother was the cook, until sixth grade. I attended grade seven through 12th grade at Caddo Gap. I attended Capital Business College in Oklahoma City. I worked for the first African American Presidential Conservative Candidate, Alan Keys, in 1996.
One of my first projects as Justice of the Peace was being instrumental in getting a Transfer Station on the table, and after many, many months finally approved. The people of District 7 have loved it and we all appreciate it so much.
To date I have three bridges on Caddo Gap Road completed. I have another bridge in the works with Arkansas Highway Department on Kennedy Road which will replace the single lane low water bridge. Giving us much safer crossing. Making a total of four bridges, which has made this JP very happy.
I have and will continue to stand up for District 7. My desire is to meet the needs ofothers. I give all the credit to The Lord Jesus. He is my strong tower and has never failed in being my helper, my wisdom, my everything. With your help and your vote, we will continue to make progress for the South end of Montgomery County.
